Edge of Seventeen
Summertime is here!

At last we can start swigging beer in the sun and grazing our knees slipping in creeks ...

Our photo shoot Edge of Seventeen is all about veering off the road and getting lost in the bush and climbing trees with sunkissed shoulders.

We have a super special writer from Brooklyn hired to help you make that perfect mix tape. We chat to San Diego band Crocodiles and have a sneak peek into a week in the life of Melbourne band School of Radiant Living.

We hope you all have a great holiday break. Thank you to all our amazing contributors who have volunteered their talents and passion to White Hart Lane this year. And a big thank you to the person reading this right now ... yes you.

Oh You Pretty Thing This Charming Man
Leone Carmen Noah Taylor

This is the first time we've included two characters from the same film in the sections Oh You Pretty Thing and This Charming Man ... but who could resist with such an iconic movie as The Year My Voice Broke?

This 1987 Australian classic captures the pivotal moments of an Australian Summer, when a group of friends transition between teenager to adult.
Leone Carmen plays the heartbreaking and cool Freya Olsen. A girl trapped in a rural town in the 60's, battling against idle gossip, a perilous romance and shocking family secrets. Her gutsy tomboy attitude and enormous loyalty to Danny (Noah Taylor) make her our perfect Summer heroine.

Noah Taylor is the awkward, prepubescent Danny Embling in The Year My Voice Broke. Fascinated by Bridget Bardot and rock & roll, he is also desperately in love with his childhood sweetheart Freya.

In fact, he's so eager to win her affection that he even tries  hypnotising her.

Against all odds Danny is the one that comes through for Freya - he's the ultimate hero in this dusty, outback town and the geek we all wish we'd paid attention to when we were younger.
Sigh.
